Round crocheted mat for beginners: diagram, description, master class, photo

There was a time when we actively threw textile rugs knitted from old yarn and rags even from summer houses and summer houses. But several years ago it was these mats that were in the trend, but with some modifications. So - we knit fashionable grandmother's rugs.

For knitting, we need knitted bright yarn of one or more colors. If it is a little expensive for your budget, you can independently make such yarn from old knitted T-shirts. Details on how to do this in the video below.

The yarn is ready, proceed to knitting! We take the thickest hook that is in the house and proceed to knitting. Remember, the ease of operation and the density of the mat depend on the size of the hook. We knit an air loop and carefully sewn with thread No. 40 to the tone of knitted yarn for convenience. And we start to knit:

1 row: 2 air loops and 11 columns with a crochet.

2 row: 2 air loops and from each loop 2 columns with a crochet (according to the scheme).

We tie the last row to the end and tighten the last loop tightly. As at the beginning of knitting, hem the edge with thread No. 40 for strength.

Please note that such a rug can be knitted as plain and multi-colored threads. But it is important that the colors go in sections, and not ripple like our grandmothers. It is this trick that distinguishes fashion models from grandmother's rugs.

Rug square crocheted on the floor from old tights: a diagram with a description and photo

For those who have already cut all the T-shirts, but really want to create, do not be discouraged and get tights! In this section, we will teach you to knit an interesting and very original rug from tights! So, we need everything, note everything! Unnecessary tights and granular filler to choose from, it can be holofiber, silicone, etc.

We cut the tights in different pieces from 10 to 20 cm, different colors of the tights will give the mat a texture. Sew each piece on one side, fill it and tighten it together, sew it into a “pebble”. If the tights are thin - we wrap one stone in several layers of tights so that the filler is not visible. We sew the pebbles together and sew to the base. The rug of "soft stones" is ready!

Well, this is not the only way to turn the ordinary into the beautiful. We complement our master class with several inspiring videos.

Rug oval crocheted on the floor from old T-shirts: a diagram with a description and photo

And in this section we will tell you how to create a beautiful oval rug from old T-shirts or knitted yarn. How exactly to cut and fix t-shirts we told in the first section and we will not stop there.

We collect from 6 or more air loops. Limitations - the size of the place where the mat will lie. The calculation is simple - the width of the desired product is divided in half and subtracted from the length of the product. Do not forget that when knitting, the chain is stretched by 30-40%.

Next, we knit according to the scheme, alternating colors at will. Please note that the first and last loop of knitted yarn must be fixed with thread No. 40.

At the end of knitting, you can sew / glue the rug to the base so that it is stiff and does not gather around the edges.

At each crossing of the net with a hook, it is necessary to thread a piece of denim and tie a knot so that the ends diverge in different directions. If desired, the tips can be slightly tattered, then the mat will look even more gentle. Simply? Yes! Beautiful - of course! Ideal for youth housing.

The same option looks great with knitted pieces.

Openwork rug crocheted on the floor from the cord

For those who want to knit an openwork rug, you can take both a cord and knitted yarn. The essence of knitting does not change from this, but the size and naturally the thickness of the carpet directly depends on the thickness of the yarn. Please note that openwork rugs, unlike dense products, cannot be glued to a dense lining.

Rug crocheted to the bathroom floor from plastic bags

It looks like a bath mat made of plastic bags is very impressive. But it will take a lot of time and effort to make it. This is worth remembering before you get started.

Preparation: we cut strips of the same thickness from garbage bags (or any other dense) (3 cm for those that are thinner and 1.5 cm for dense). We cut along and after that we connect with neat marine knots.

Since knitting techniques from a series are easier to see once than to read a hundred times, we attach three step-by-step videos where you will probably quickly tie your first and possibly not the last mat from the bags.

Rug crocheted on a chair, stools of thread

We knit 12 air loops and connect into a single ring, after that we knit 5 air loops and knit the core - 24 columns with 5 yarn overlay. The item is ready. Next, we knit exactly as much as required, and we sew the elements in a single rug with threads in that and a gypsy needle.

Rug crocheted rug

Sometimes a simple, yet durable rug is required, most often on the veranda, in the hallway or in the country. In order for dust and fine dirt to pass through it well, and care for it is minimal, an unlined mat is required. A rope and a thin thread are great for this.

Rug crocheted rug

So, we take the rope, put it as in the photo and flash it with thread No. 40. And then we knit the columns crochet layer by layer so that the cord is constantly inside. It can be both small and very impressive carpets.

If you want the carpet to be oval, instead of a circle, the first row is tied with a cord of the required length and then, like in a knitted rug, only with a cord inside.
